ATDOR version 2.2.0 has been configured for use with the following languages:

  • English
  • Dutch
  • French (Experimental)
  • German (Experimental)
  • Russian (Experimental)

ATDOR is currently used extensively with the Dutch version. The English version is available for some time, but at this moment not known if clubs use it regularly.

The French, German and Russian version are experimental. This means that I have added these languages and some more countries (RU=Russia, CA=Canada, FR=France, DE=Germany, AT=Austria and CH=Die Schweiz), in the File/Preferences menu.

I included a translation done by google translate for the experimental languages. The quality of this translation is low and requires significant reviewing. However, it generates the translation fast and makes the program somewhat workable in a foreign language not known by the ATDOR developer.

For instance, the English text "Cannot add relay team" is converted to the German text "Kann nicht hinzuf├╝gen Staffel". So the word "relay team" is not correct translated here.

The good thing is that you can modify the translation file and place it in the ATDOR Data directory (On windows: Documents\AtdorData). The next time you start ATDOR, this file will be used instead of the one built into the ATDOR executable. You can find the appropriate translation file by looking in the source code (can be downloaded as well). The file is called: [lang].msg where lang is the language.

For German: de.msg
For France: fr.msg
For Russia: ru.msg

Please contact me if you want to help fixing the translations.

At this moment, there are not yet country-specific settings implemented. For instance, the date field order is always set to DD-MM-YY indicating days-months-years. This will be changed in the future so it will reflect the country-specific order.

What's further needed per country is the list of categories. This depends on the regulations of your national athletics union.

You will get the message "Cannot read category database" if this list is not yet created for your country.

You can use ATDOR to add the right categories for your country. Just go to the menu option Extra/Categorylist. The ATDOR development team is very interested in up-to-date category lists for your country!

The latter is also true for the club-list for your country. You can add clubs using the menu option: Extra/Clublist.
